As part of its Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program (MIC AC171) with the Balkans, the University of Caen Normandie is organizing a week of professional exchanges and cultural discovery from April 8 to 12, 2024.
Through sessions, faculty and staff meetings and presentations, we will share best practices and exchange on common issues and objectives related to international education with our counterparts from Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo and Montenegro.

Programme

1:30 pm > Arrival of the participants and presentation of the programme

2:30 pm > Greetings by Christophe Rochais, Vice-President for International Affairs

3 pm > Guided Tour of Campus 1

6 pm > Welcome cocktail dinner

9 am > Welcome breakfast

9:30-10:30 am > Welcome speech by Yohann Breard, Director of the Carré internation & presentation of UNICAEN

10:45 am – Noon > Presentation of the partner universities #1

Noon > optional lunch at the University restaurant*

1:30-3:30 pm > Presentation of the partner universities #2

4 pm > Guided tour of historical Caen

9:00-Noon > Presentation and discussion on 4 key mobility drivers:

  • Privileged partnerships (e.g. the Across EU alliance)
  • Internationalization initiatives (e.g. Teaching in English)
  • Promotion/communication
  • Local support

Noon > Optional lunch at the university restaurant*

1:30-6:30 pm > Afternoon out to the D-Day landing sites

9:30 am-12:30 pm > Peer-to-peer meetings and job shadowing

12:30 pm > Optional lunch at the university restaurant*

1:30-3:00 pm > Presentation of UNICAEN Center for distant learningCEMU and visit of their Gaming Lab

3:30 – 5 pm > Presentation of UNICAEN Graduate School of Management – IAE and visit of their Bloomberg Live Trading Room

8:45-10 am > Presentation of the Map of Rome cross-disciplinary project

10:30-Noon > “Life of an exchange student in Caen” by Violeta et Arbenita and visit of an on-campus student room

Noon > Optional lunch at the university restaurant*

2:00-3:00 pm > Wrap-up session & closing speech

3:00-4:00 pm > Farewell cocktail

How to participate

Reserved for KA 171-HED (ex-MIC) Balkans project partners and by registration only.
Flat-fee of 50 euros, covering the welcome dinner cocktail, the guided city tour, the Thursday afternoon excursion and the coffee breaks.
Additional meals and overnight stays are at participants’ own expense.

*For the optional lunches at the university restaurant, possibility to buy pre-paid meal cards upon arrival: 10€ by meal (payment by credit card only).
