Description (anglais) : 'Another example of confrontation between the state and certain forces in the market comes from the year 814/1412, when shopkeepers shut down their stores in the wake of monetary reforms. Consequently, it was difficult to obtain bread, and people gathered in front of baking ovens. The sultan's reaction was one of sheer fury. He ordered his soldiers to punish the crowd and set fire to the stores'.
