Armelle Parey is a senior lecturer at the Université de Caen Normandie. Her interests embrace narrative endings, memory and rewritings of the past in contemporary English-speaking fiction, with a special emphasis on the neo-Victorian novel. She has co-edited several collections of essays on the question of narrative closure.

She has recently co-edited A.S. Byatt, Before and After Possession: Recent Critical Approaches (PU de Nancy-Editions de Lorraine, 2017) and co-organized a conference on Ian McEwan's work  held in Caen on March 16th -17th, 2018.
