Jean-Philippe GEORGET

Jean-Philippe Georget is an associate professor at the Université de Caen Basse-Normandie (France) and works in the Research Centre in Educational Sciences of the University (CERSE research team). He hold a PhD and a Master Degree in the domain of didactics of mathematics, and a Bachelor Degree in mathematics.

His main interests in research are about teachers education in the context of long life learning. His work takes place in mathematical teaching contexts, especially at the primary level. His PhD is based on the ways to design teachers communities of practice (Wenger, 1998) and the ways to build resources for teachers to help them to practice mathematical situations of research and proof between peers. Actually, his main activities also take place in the context of pedagogical activities in the domain of engineering sciences at the university level.
