Les conférences du jeudi ont pour objectif de permettre aux étudiants de 3e cycle et aux enseignants-chercheurs de suivre les avancées scientifiques actuelles réalisées dans le domaine des sciences cognitives et des neurosciences intégratives. Résolument pluridisciplinaires, ces conférences sont l’occasion de découvrir chaque mois, un conférencier de renommée internationale.

Le Professeur Benoit Bardy (Laboratoire « Efficience & Déficience Motrices » Université Montpellier-1) nous fait l'honneur d'ouvrir le cycle de conférences de l'année 2008-2009 avec un séminaire intitulé SKILLS: Acquisition,  storage, and transfer of human skills by means of multimodal  interfaces?

Abstract:

SKILLS is a FP6 Integrated Project (2006-2010) dealing with the acquisition,
interpretation, storage and transfer of human skill by means of multimodal interfaces, Robotics, Virtual Environment (VE) technologies and Interaction Design methodologies. The SKILLS project proposes to introduce a novel approach to skill transfer based on situations involving the interaction between the trainee and multimodal interfaces.
SKILLS promotes (i) enactive knowledge and training, (ii) during acquisition and transfer, (iii) relying on intrinsic, affordance-based metrics, and using (iv) technological interfaces as accelerators, (v) available to multiple users (trainees,
trainers). Examples of the SKILLS' first results will be given in the domain of entertainment and rehabilitation.
