THE CITY

Located on the North coast of Reunion Island, Saint-Denis has always been the local administrative and economic capital. It concentrates most artistic and cultural activities. The traditional beautiful colonial architecture-not unlike what can be seen in the French Quarter in New Orleans-the botanical gardens, local museums, art galleries and can be enjoyed in the downtown area while new art centers and complexes have developed in the outer circles of the area.
International students are very fond of the lively cafés in the downtown area not to mention the nearby picturesque tropical markets where mangoes, pine apples, litchis and local handicraft provide endless temptations.

From Orly Ouest or Charles de Gaulle airports in Paris. Usually ten hours and twenty minutes' night flight (Air France, Air Austral, Corsair).
