THE CITY

One hour from Paris by train and two hours from Brussels, Amiens offers many treasures: its famous Gothic cathedral listed by Unesco as World Heritage since 1981; its water gardens "les hortillonnages" which can only be discovered from a boat; its Saint Leu district with gabled houses and narrow lanes; Jules Verne's house which is now a research centre on his novels; its shopping areas; its museums, parks, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and tasty treats...

l The underground City of Naours.
l Chantilly with its Renaissance castle in the middle of the water; its living horse museum.
l Senlis, a former royal city.
l Soissons with its old district, its lanes, its romantic Abbey Saint Jean des Vignes, its gothic Cathedral.
l Laon, a medieval City.
l Beauvais with its gothic cathedral and astronomical clock.
